New Year - new resolutions - NEW STORE!!!!

Hi all,

Ya, you are right, too long no see... I truly neglected my blog since the last couple of weeks (or should I say months...LOL)

So much was going on here. Preparing for Christmas and New Years, my best friend visiting from Australia, the baptism of her little baby girl Sarah, you name it...

Furthermore, doctor decided that Hannah needs to go to occupational therapy, to improve her motor function, which is still caused by her premature birth. We nearly finished the treatments and she improved sooo much - it is unbelievable and I never thought we would or could achieve this in such a short period of time...

I also joined a new digital scrapbooking store to sell my products - in addition to Scrapdish... Since mid-February, I am a proud designer at Scrapbook-Elements :) Since I started with digital scrapbooking, Scrapbook-Elements always has been a source of inspiration for me and I always wanted to join their team of designers!!! I am so happy, I am finally there and I really LOVE it!!!

Some layouts - yay, finally :)

Hi all,

I've just stolen myself some minutes and sneaked off the living room (Hannah has 2 weeks of vacation right now....), to post some of my recent layouts ;)

First one is a layout of our Summer Vacation in 2008. I loved this template from listgirl (Christine Newman) and it was just perfect to scrap some photos of our vacation in Fuerteventura.

Oh my, I've neglected my blog once again... *sigh*
I have been to NYC (Yay!!!!!) once again for a couple of days and really enjoyed my time there. Even though I travel there at least once a year, I always discover something new. Not to mention all the great people to meet there! I will post some photos soon.

Just Add Water

Boy oh boy - I really did neglect my blog once again...

So much has been going on. Hannah will go to school beginning August 24th... Can you believe it?!?!?! Where does time go - I still remember holding her in my arms for the very first time and now she will be off to school soon. I try to spend as much time as I can with her, before she will be in school. It is very hard to let go, as I know, that we cannot spend as much time together as we can now - school starts 7:30am and lasts until 4:30pm each day. But I know that we will cherish the hours we have together every day.

As for designing, lots of new stuff in both of my stores - Digital Freebies and Funkyplayground Designs. One great thing is the collab, I have put together with Valorie Brown :) I had soooo much fun doing this collab together with her - I feel truly blessed to be surrounded by so many talented women! The collab is called Just add Water and is available in my Funkyplayground Designs Store. Here is a preview of the kit and some pages of the wonderful and incredible talented FPD Creative Team:

Long time and exciting news!!!!!

OMG - cannot believe that I've neglected my blog for so long...

So much happened since my last entry. First week of May I took Hannah and my parents on a vacation on a farm in Bavaria (hubby stayed home and painted the kitchen walls :) ). Hannah totally enjoyed the week we stayed in Steibis. My parents and I went there for the first time when I was 8 years old and it was pretty cool to see it again. Not so much changed in the past years and I still get the feeling of an ideal world, when staying there. No hurry, no noise, no stress.

And I have some VERY EXCITING NEWS!!! But I cannot share them with you right now :( You have to wait until June 1st - but then I will reveal the secret ;)

Oh, and I have so much to do right now, as I am preparing for our next vacation :) We will be visiting Spain from June 2nd until June 14th. Cannot wait to get there and have lots of time to relax and "charge my batteries". But before I can relax and soak up the sun, I have to work, run some errands, wash the cloths, pack and hope that I thought of everything important... LOL

Update and A Beautiful Day

Hello everybody,

I hope you all had wonderful Easter and/or a good Pessach (passover)! We had lots of fun with Hannah hunting for eggs all over my parent's garden :) Gladly, Hannah and I recovered from a bad abdominal influenza just right before Easter, therefore, nothing could hold her back from running up and down, forth and back...

The weather here is just phenomenal. No clouds in sight, just blue skies and sun... This so is not fair that I had to work today and tomorrow... LOL

Yesterday, I found some elder photos of Hannah, when we were at my eldest brother's wedding in 2007. Hannah looked so cute in her elegant, fancy dress. I just had to scrap one of the photos right away.

Hannah discovers our garden fauna

Hi everybody,

We had an awesome sunny day today! Hopefully, Spring is finally here and the weather will get warmer. I am REALLY soooo READY for SPRING LOL

After I picked up Hannah from Kindergarten, we drove to my parents' garden to enjoy the sunny afternoon together. Hannah always loves to spend time outside. She had so much fun running around, looking for the first blooms and buds growing everywhere and digging in the ground. She found an earthworm and loved to let it crawl over her fingers and hands. I have had the chance to snap some cute pictures of her, holding the worm.

And here is a picture of last week, when she enjoyed bouncing with her hopping ball :)

Oh, I cannot wait to have all these shots scrapped :) I hope to have the first layouts ready this week...

My week in a nutshell

Hello everybody,

This week went by sooo fast. Can you imagine it is already mid-March???
On Monday, Hannah invited a friend over for playing. I picked them up after Kindergarten and brought them home. I worked my tails off to have them entertained. 4 year olds with attitudes - what more should I say... LOL

Yesterday, after months, I got my hairs cut and colored YAY!!! I cannot believe that I did not find time to get this done earlier - last time was in September... Fortunately, my hairdresser Renate visits me at home and she also cut Hannah's hair. It was so cute: when Renate asked Hannah how she would like to have her hair cut, Hannah responded: I want to look like my Mommy... Awwww.

There is no Kindergarten today. Unfortunately, I noticed this fact no more than a day ago... As Hannah is invited to a Birthday Party tomorrow, I have to take her now with me, when shopping for the gift... You know, what I am talking about, when taking your own child shopping for another child's gift, right??? Wish me luck :)

Flea Market and new products

Hello everyone,

I am totally exhausted from packing boxes and sorting things... On Saturday, we will have a flea market/garage sale at Hannah's Kindergarten. I have tons of clothes, toys and some stuff like diaper genie, stroller, etc. which I hope to sell there. Some of the money goes to the Kindergarten for some stuff they want to buy. I am happy, as Hannah isn't as sad as last time, when she realized, that some of her toys will be sold. But still: she monitors every little piece that is in the boxes for the sale - I really have to check, if some of the stuff magically shows up in her room again LOL

Hannah and some new Products

Hannah is sick :( She woke me up at 2:15am on Wednesday, as her throat was aching like blazes. No reason to mention that from this point on my night had gone... In the morning she had such high fever that I'd asked my parents to come over and take care of her, as I had to go working (all you mommies out there know, how it feels to leave your sick girl at home, right???). I promised Hannah to come home early, when her sickness gets worse. Of course it did and I had to leave work in order to take care of her. Fortunately, she is feeling much better today. As I woke up too early today, I had time to finish another layout. I had this photo in my stash since October 2004. It shows Hannah and myself, when we were out in the Park for the very first time. As she was a premature birth, I didn't take her out that much before, as I was afraid that something could happen...

Puddle Jumper

We had a calm and relaxing weekend. Hannah and I went to the park. I thought the weather would become more springy now (we had some sunny days last week), but I was so wrong... It rained the whole Saturday. Hannah was so excited and couldn't wait to get her rain coat, rain trouser and wellies on and go outside. She jumped in every mud hole and every puddle she could find. That brought me in the position to get some very cute 'Puddle Jump' pics of her without any "I don't want you to take this photo now" discussion :)

Man, I am still sick and at home....and bored. Getting cabin fever LOL But finally, I had the chance to get a new layout done. It was so simple, as I used my new Precious Girl Quickpages for it and the only thing I had to do was to find the right photo and slip it under the quick page :)

It is the first photo of Hannah. Unfortunately, I do not have any photos of her when I was in the labor room, as she was a premature birth.

Hi all,

Finally, I am feeling better now. I've had a bad bronchitis and I am still feeling very weak. That's the reason why I did not post in the last couple of weeks. I even felt too miserable to get any pages done... But I will hopefully get some done over the weekend. I found some cute pictures of Hannah in my stash :)

Finally - Winter is here :)

Finally - Winter is here!!!! Starting Sunday night, it began to snow. Even though I had to shovel snow for 2 (!!!) hours, I am glad that it happened. Hannah and I went to the Park on Monday, right after Kindergarten and she totally enjoyed the snow. After a small snowball fight and some running in the snow, she started to built a snowman. Unfortunately, I could not take a photo of the finished snowman, as the snow was very powdry and he didn't "survived" long enough... But I got some pretty photos of Hannah. Of course I had to scrap my favorite photo right away - I totally LOVE the expression on her face.

I am wishing everyone a wonderful, Happy New Year!!!! I hope you all had a blast celebrating the New Year! We stayed at home and had Raclette for dinner. Hannah was so tired, she fell asleep at 9:00pm :)

As I have to head back to work tomorrow, I seized the opportunity to get some more pages done today :)

I cannot get enough of Corinas great stuff. Fortunately, Funky Playground had a Christmas Sale going on, where I could stock up on her papers and kits :)

Look, what I got from Santa (or Christkind here in Germany :) )

Phew, Christmas is over... It went soooo fast. We had a great time and enjoyed every minute together with our families. On the 25th, I got 11 guests and served a 15 pound turkey. And look, what I got from Santa - uhm, hubby:
It is a Canon 610 printer, combined with scanner and copier!!! I am so happy, as our other printer didn't work in the last couple of weeks. So, I had a good excuse to do some scrapping over the past days :) I decided to begin with 2 layouts of my recent trip to New York in October this year.

I hope, you had a wonderful weekend! On Saturday, we went out for a walk in the park. It was a wonderful warm day and we enjoyed the sun outside. Besides some new photos, we also collected wonderful colored leaves for Hannah. On Sunday, we did some handicrafts with the leaves and made a cute collage for her room. OMG, already October - can you believe this??? Fall is already here and Halloween is coming soon. This is my favorite season (ok, I have to admit I love every season LOL). Can you imagine - I did not post anything new since nearly 2 months???? OMG - so much happened in these past few weeks.

We celebrated Hannah's 3rd Birthday, we celebrated my 30th birthday for the fifth time :), we went to the Kindergarten several times to ensure that Hannah will feel comfortable when she has to go there beginning September 3rd and I created some new stuff :)

It's Friday - yay!!!

Phew - weekend is coming!!! So what are your plans for the weekend?

Today we will visit friends of us, who are newly parents to 3 weeks old Baby Boy Emil Mattes. I cannot wait to see him and take some photos!

Can you imagine, that my little cutie Hannah will turn 3 on July 2nd and go to Kindergarten in September??? I still cannot believe, how she grew up soooo fast... *sigh* We will visit the summer party of Hannah's Kindergarten tomorrow - this will be a good opportunity to get in touch with other parents and for Hannah to get to know some of the children.

But that's all of the plans for the weekend so far. I hope to finish my new kit and to work on some layouts.

I am back from our vacation to the Canary Islands. Whew - we had a wonderful time there... here you can see two pics from our hotel:

And Hannah had so much fun, playing on the beach - here's one photo of her. I took it while she was throwing sand into the ocean... :) I hope to have some layouts done this weekend!

I am back from NYC!!! It was awesome as always, even though it was warm and we had no snow. But I had a lot of my Christmas shopping done :)

Hi all,

Man, I am sooo ready for snow - but unfortunately, it does not snow here... We had the hottest November days since more than 50 years - can you believe???

It's been a long time....and new kit...and new freebie!!!

Hi everybody,

OMG - it's been such a long time since my last post... So much happened in the meantime! I went to Disneyland with my best friend Anja, to have a last trip together, before she moves to Australia. Even though it was a sad reason for the trip, we had 3 wonderful days and enjoyed talking, laughing and having fun! Only 3 weeks left, before she and her hubby will move... *sigh*

And I have been creative in the meantime I created two new kits, one of them is the actual Half-n-Half Kit at 3Scrapateers. I love them both - one is a fall themed kit, the other one a super cute winter kit, just perfect for all the photos of your little cuties having fun in the snow. Here's what both kits look like:

I am so excited! We have such wonderful new challenges @ 3Scrapateers - you shouldn't miss the fun!!! I am hosting a new challenge, too (my 3Scrapateers Newsletter Challenge will still go on). It is called "ABCs - Books which treasure memories". Every week, I will provide a word with the relevant letter and the members are asked to create a layout for it. It is an ongoing challenge and we will start with a Baby ABC Book :) If you don't want to create an album for yourself, you can create one for friends, sisters or any other family member - these will make such great, personal gifts any occasion. You can scrap any size and can use every kit you may have in your collection - this will be soooo much fun!!! Please see my forum thread for more information!

Wow, so much going on right now. I am busy in designing some new kits - one will be released soon. It comes with gorgeous shades of beige, red, pink and yellow.

Futhermore, I will expand my Creative Team soon - 2 more positions are vacant. So keep your eyes open for the CT Call Ad :-)

I am also working on an album for my best friend. As most of you know, she will be moving to Australia in December and I want to give her something, which shows the times we shared together - happy ones and sad ones. I will show some of the layouts, when I am finished.

And I am soooo counting the days, until I'll visit NYC again!!! Cannot wait :-D Will have my parents with me - hubby stays at home with our little cutie. So if anyone here has some great tips what to visit, please let me know. We will be there from December 14th until December 18th - so any hints regarding festivities etc in this period are highly appreciated. It is the first time for my parents to visit New York, so I want to make it an unforgettable trip.

Wow - finally I have my own blog :-) I wanted to have a blog for so many weeks, but couldn't figure out how to personalize these darn blog templates LOL Thanks to some of my customers, who asked for my blog over and over again, I finally sat down and went through all those great 'Create your own blog' tutorials - and tata, here it is...

I hope you all like it like it is and leave some comments from time to time :-)
